Training this Sunday is at SAF, Cnr Kessels and Mains Rds, Nathan 3:30-5:00 pm. This is an opportunity for the kids to get used to the Tartan surface and the facilities we are using next weekend at the Regional Championships. All athletes are welcome to join in and experience training at the athletics facility. Meet at the entry gate on the outside track.
Centre Comp Cancelled Sat 30 Jan
After consultation with the Centre Committee the decision has been made to cancel today’s Centre Comp. The combination of heat, humidity and probable showers throughout the afternoon is enough to say let’s give it a miss. The safety of our young athletes and comfort of our families is what we are always concerned about.
It is currently showering in Sunnybank and the radar is showing a line of weather that will continue to develop passing this way for a while.
As usual our lovely Margaret has baked goodies and we will be at the oval from 1:30 – 2:30 for anyone who would still like to get their weekly fix.
I’ll send another email advising of details for next weeks Regional Champs later today. Today’s canceeled comp will now be rescheduled to a reserve day 05 Mar 16.
Centre Comp Sat 30 Jan
We are currently considering the weather conditions for today and keeping an eye on the radar, a decision will be made by 1200 if today’s comp will go ahead or whether it is going to be too uncomfortable for our young athletes and families.
Notice will be posted on this website, our facebook page and emailed to all to advise. If today is cancelled it will be rescheduled to a reserve day towards the end of the season.
Centre Comp is ON Sat 23 Jan
At this stage there is no sign of the predicted storms on the Radar. It’s certainly humid enough to indicate some weather may come in so we’ll keep an eye on it and if it looks like somethings on the way we’ll pack up and get out.
Hopefully if it does happen it’ll be later this avy and won’t effect Little A’s.
Centre Comp is ON Sat 16 Jan
Just to confirm that Centre Comp is on today, there has only been showers very early this morning and nothing to speak of on the radar. At worst we may have a very light shower at some stage. The weather report is that all is clearing.
Training this avy (29 Nov) – Cancelled
Due to (the possibility of) a line of storms being expected to hit the South East this avy we have decided to cancel todays training. Looking at the radar it’s hard to know whether we are actually going to be affected but, as they are still developing, I think it’s best to just give it a miss.
The next training session is Tuesday 01 Dec 4:30 – 6:00pm.
Centre Comp Sat 14 Nov – CANCELLED
At the oval…the ground is just too wet in places to be able to move equipment around and set up.
For the safety of our athletes and the comfort of our families we have decided to cancel centre comp for this avy.
At this stage training is on tomorrow 3:30 – 5:00.
Margaret has, as usual, baked plenty of goodies and will be down at the oval for anyone who would like to come down to get their usual Saturday treat fix! 1:30 – 2:30 I’ll be there in case any turn up that don’t get this message.

Centre Comp Sat 14 Nov
Good Morning Everyone, just to let you know what’s happening……this morning’s rain is expected to clear shortly to a fine afternoon (apparently). At this stage the oval is obviously quite wet with a few patches around the track getting very soggy, including parts of the 100m straight.
Depending on how much more rain we receive and how quickly it drains away as to whether we cancel this avy (at this stage it’s not looking good). I will go back down a little later and confirm by 1200 if Competition is going ahead or cancelled.

Due to the condition of the oval from yesterday’s storm and unstable weather today we have decided to cancel our Sunday training for this week. Training for Tuesday will also have a timing alteration:
Tuesday 10 Nov 4:00 – 5:30 pm due to Louise and I attending the Sport and Rec Strength and Conditioning workshop that commences at 6:00pm
No Centre Competition Sat 07 Nov due to Regional Relays
Just a reminder of No comp at Sunnybank, Regional relays at SAF, Cnr Mains/Kessels Rds, Nathan. Events start 0800 please be there 1/2 hour prior if in first event. Arrive 1 hour prior to scheduled event start time for the remainder of the day.
