Sunnybank High School has advised us that they have closed the oval for all sports this weekend. The current condition of the ground is extremely soggy and therefore very susceptible to damage. It’s highly likely we would have cancelled anyway due to the current weather conditions. As always, the safety and comfort of our athletes and families is our priority. We have two reserve days in the calendar before Christmas and will reschedule last weeks and this weeks lost centre comps to those days.

Due to the continuing rain and extremely wet condition of the oval there will be no training Sunday 15 Oct. See you all next Saturday.

Due to the forecast 80% – 90% chance of rainfall at the 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm a decision to cancel centre comp for this avy has been made. The safety and comfort of our athletes and families is our priority. The Committee will still be in attendance from 1:30 – 3:00 pm to accept Regional Relay Nominations which are due today, LAQ Nomination fee is $3.50 per event. The lost comp day will be rescheduled to one of our reserve days in November.

Once again we are keeping an eye on the weather for this afternoon and will make a decision by 12:30 if we need to cancel Centre Comp due to rain. Today is Nomination day for Regional Relays, the Committee will be at the Centre to take all nominations regardless of whether Centre Comp goes ahead or not. Notices will be posted on Facebook and our Website of decision by 12:30 pm

With no rain forecast for Brissy this avy and only a 30% chance for early this evening it’s all systems go for Centre Comp today. Week 1 round 2, walks week, see you all from 1:30 pm
